What is Token Gating?
Token Gating is an additional form of utility for non-fungible token (NFT) communities, where exclusive benefits such as content, merchandise and event access can be extended to designated NFT holders. It draws reference from the concept of a gated community, with token ownership serving as verification.
How it works
With Peatix Token Gating, organizers can now grant non-fungible token (NFT) holders exclusive access to free* events at no additional cost**.
STEP 1
Simply create a regular event page on Peatix and provide Peatix with the Chain ID and contract addresses of the pre-specified NFTs to be used for access to the event.
STEP 2
Peatix will authenticate and verify the ownership of the pre-specified NFTs before transitioning into its existing event management process, providing a dynamic service for attendee management and check-in.

When I connect my wallet, how much access does Peatix have (if any) to my wallet data/private data?
Peatix Token Gating will have access to the existing public on-chain data associated with your wallet.
Can I transact more than once to get token-gated tickets if I hold NFTs from more than 1 collection that is being token-gated for the same event?
Yes. However, the number of transactions to acquire tickets will be limited to the number of tokens you hold.
Is Peatix Token Gating secure?
Peatix Token Gating utilizes ‘Sign in With Ethereum’ to provide users with a self-custodial way to connect their wallets to ensure the most secure wallet connection. Additionally, Peatix Token Gating only conducts read-only actions with your blockchain wallet.
Can there be multiple NFT Collections on an event page?
Yes. However, they have to be from the same chain.
Can I use my NFT to get multiple tickets?
The default setting for token-gated events is one verified NFT will provide you one ticket.
